About the role

Bark is looking for its first content strategist to own all things content across the business. You will work with all business functions to develop content strategies and execute the end-to-end content creation process. The content you create will have a direct influence on Bark’s growth so you’ll be working directly with senior management and the founders to deliver exciting, sales-led content. It will be a challenging, yet extremely rewarding, role which is why Bark’s looking for a driven, passionate and creative individual to deliver first-class results.



  • Own the full content lifecycle from strategy and positioning to hands-on writing and iteration
  • Explain complicated concepts in simple and exciting language
  • Collaborate with all teams including product, marketing and sales teams to create content for new product launches and sales campaigns
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining close attention to detail and meeting tight, frequently changing deadlines
  • Strategise, position and deliver content in enticing and sales-focused ways
  • Evangelize high content standards across the business and build Bark’s voice


Required skills

  • At least 4+ years of proven experience in content strategy, copywriting and content development
  • Natural ability to persuade, entice and sell through well-written content and intelligent positioning
  • Self-starter who is extremely driven and ambitious
  • Proactive and highly organized with strong time management and planning skills
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform decisions
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Preferably experience in high volume SMB environments
